MSPS Romania used gamification to turn a plain pizza box into an interactive football pitch. Aiming at communicating the benefits of OTE Double Play Economy pack during the Euro '12 games, a mix of web-based mobile app and pizza box advertising were used to drive the fans to play a game made for 2.

Strategy: The MSPS team from Romania created more than 100.000 pizza boxes branded “OTE Double Economy”. Each pizza box became a mini football field with two QR codes guarding each goal. The game required that the two players place their mobiles on the diagrams and scan the two QR codes with their smartphones connected to wi-fi or 3G internet.
