"Create an activation for Yves-Rocher's 60th Anniversary which will connect and transport guests attending our celebratory event to the brand's place of origin - La Gacilly, France, and create a moment of WOW."

For a brand which since it's debut, and to this day, still produces products using ingredients grown near the picturesque town of La Gacilly, France, there are few opportunities for customers and fans to experience this amazing location.

On the occasion of the brand's 60th anniversay, we set out to take guests on a unique "trip" to the place where Yves-Rocher products come from. We immediately thought of Virtual Reality as a way to achieve this, but wanted to make it more realistic than ever.

Our answer was to combine Virtual Reality with a cutting edge technology that's never been used in a brand activation before: haptic feedback. In other words, for the first time ever, users could touch and feel the things they see in Virtual Reality.

Strategy: Yves-Rocher is very close to nature and prides itself in the fact that all products are based on natural ingredients. But it is through research and technology that Yves-Rocher leverages these natural ingredients to produce effective cosmetics.

To drive this message, of nature and technology, on the 60th anniversary we were able to demonstrate both qualities to guests attending the special celebratory event by taking them on a special "trip". We used the newest technology so users could "feel" the VR.
